On the first day, we will check the bikes with a little spin, so that we can assure that everything is in order for the week. This short ride will give us only a small taste of the beauties of the valley that we will be able to admire in the following days.

We start the morning with a downhill ride followed immediately by the first climb: the Col de Joux; the road will be quite long but very regular, with slopes that aren't too hard and that will make us reach the highest peak of the day: 1640 m (Col de Joux). We will then descend towards the village of Brusson and from there still several kilometers of descent before finding the second climb: Col Tzecore. Here the road suddendly starts narrowing and it winds steeply into the woods. This climb is certainly harder than the first, the average gradient is often around 10%!

Today we will start directly from the center of Aosta, from where the long climb to the Gran San Bernardo pass (2469 m) will begin. The 33km climb, with its average gradient of around 5%, is not very demanding. As soon as you leave Aosta, you will immediately find access to the valley leading to the hill, and the very gentle slopes, just outside the city, allow for good warm-up. After the town of Variney begins a challenging part that will take us to Allein, from there on, some very scenic roads will accompany us in the Gran San Bernardo Valley, reaching Etroubles.

This is certainly the most challenging part, but will leave you speechless! A long road, with many hairpins, in the middle of a beautiful landscape. Even if the slopes won’t be too high, you will feel the tiredness. We will always be above 2000m! Once we reach the top of the hill, we reach the summit, the long and fun descent will take us back to the center of Aosta.

The third day will be spent outside Aosta Valley to let you discover one of the most spectacular climbs in the Alps.

We will be in Piedmont, in the Gran Paradiso park, right on the border with our valley. The departure is scheduled from Locana. Here, after a few flat kilometers, the long climb to Colle del Nivolet (2612 m) will begin. After the town of Noasca, a very narrow and winding road will climb alongside the crystal clear waters of the Orco stream and will lead us to Ceresole Reale. We will skirt a large lake before starting the second part of the climb, where the last 12km, with slopes often close to 10%, will take us to the summit. In this last stretch the road becomes narrow and winding, full of hairpin bends that wind between lakes and beautiful alpine landscapes. An incredible scenario that will make us forget the fatigue!

After the efforts of the previous days it’s necessary to make an easier tour in order to recharge your batteries and take the opportunity to discover some of the castles of the Aosta Valley. A downhill departure will take us to the town of Chambave. From here the long and demanding climb to Col San Pantaleone. The first section, which crosses the vineyards, is certainly the hardest, the slopes then become much easier, but the landscape changes rapidly, in fact in the last kilometers the climb regains strength as it enters a grove. Once at the top, a unique landscape awaits us! A long panoramic descent will take us back to Antey where the climb will begin, and it will accompany us to the Matterhorn. The ascent will be long and not very regular: it will alternate very easy sections with more challenging sections.

The last day includes a short ride but with a lot of altitude. Be prepared! As soon as we leave we will head towards La Magdeleine. The hard ramps, inside the wood, in less than 7km will take us to a panoramic plateau, from which we will see the second half of the day. With a fast descent we will return to Antey where it will begin the second climb to take us first to Torgnon and then to finish in Chantornè, right on the ski slopes! The climb is similar to the previous one, with the most demanding stretch within the town of Torgnon.
